Nurse / Harm Reduction Workers –Sunderland/ Newcastle (Full time)

Salary: Range from F-H Grade depending on qualification and experience

We are looking for an enthusiastic/ experienced nurse to work within the Tier 2 Harm Minimisation Service in Sunderland/ Newcastle. The post holder will be involved in the provision of advice, information and appropriate medical / social interventions for service users accessing the services via the needle exchange. A secondment would be considered.

Community Development/ Harm Reduction Worker – Sunderland (Full time)

£21,412-25,320 (SCP 26-31)

We are looking for a community development worker to support the work of the Harm Minimisation Service in developing harm reduction services (including alcohol) throughout the Sunderland area. The post holder will also be involved in user involvement and consultation, wider community development work and the provision of interventions (information, advice etc.) for those accessing the service. The role will also include an element of presentation and training in both formal and informal settings.

Lifeline Leeds is one of 5 projects awarded 3 years funding from Comic Relief to deliver a Hidden Harm Service working with children, young people and families affected by parental alcohol misuse. The BASE 10 UP service has worked closely with a range of statutory and voluntary agencies across Leeds for the last 8 years providing a Hidden Harm service. The Alcohol worker will be working alongside 4 key organisations in Leeds working with children and young people who have additional needs due to caring responsibilities, those affected by domestic violence and those who are homeless or in vulnerable accommodation.
You will have an in depth knowledge of the impact of familial alcohol use on children and young people, have experience working with children and their parents around this issue and be experienced in multi-agency working.

USING PARENTS SERVICE - CHILDREN & FAMILY ALCOHOL WORKER

Salary: £22,054 - £26,080 (s.c.p. 26-31) 35 hours per week

This post will be part of the Using Parents Service, delivering a 3 year project working alongside 4 key agencies to develop and deliver Alcohol Hidden Harm support packages to the children of alcohol misusing parents and their parents through 1-2-1 support, family work and the development and delivery of resilience building resource packages relevant  to each needs group.

The Prison Service North West Area works in partnership with local community substance misuse services to ensure that all those prisoners requiring treatment, care and support have access to a range of innovative and effective interventions whilst in custody.   

Lifeline Project has a national and international reputation for providing effective interventions for substance misusers and their families. Lifeline is the largest provider of services to drug users in prisons nationally and provides a wide range of community based services from the Tyne to the Thames. Our aim is to try and reduce any physical, mental or social harm caused by drug use.

The provision of Care, Assessment, Referral, Advice and Throughcare Services (CARAT) is a fundamental part of the Prison Service drug treatment framework offering a consistent means of working with prisoners with drug problems.  This Tier 2/3 intervention aims to:

  • identify & assess the needs of drug misusing prisoners when they enter prison;
  • provide ongoing advice & support throughout their custodial period;
  • work in conjunction with internal & external services to ensure continuity of care;
  • provide continuity in treatment prior to, during and post custody.

Salary Scale NJC 26-30, £21,412 - £24,545 (Pay Award Pending)

CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICE CASE MANAGER - DRUG INTERVENTION PROGRAMME (DIP)

Salary: £18,907 – £25,320 per annum (cost of living rise pending)

Hours: 35 hours per week – flexible working is required, 25+ annual leave p.a. + 8 bank holidays & 4 privilege days.

Working across Kirklees, (Huddersfield and Dewsbury).

Working as part of the Kirklees Drug Interventions Programme (DIP) team, you will be responsible for case managing clients entering DIP and entering or leaving prison. You will be the first point of contact regarding issues relating to Restrictions on Bail (ROB) and you will provide all general information, harm minimisation advice, screening, assessment and outreach support for DIP clients.You will work in partnership with treatment and other providers to monitor and track clients progress though the criminal justice and treatment system.

You must have experience of working supporting adults in a criminal justice or social care capacity and knowledge and understanding of the Drug Intervention Programme and how it fits into criminal justice services.

Exciting opportunities have arisen within Eclypse. The Successful applicants will join a creative, diverse and skilled team and be based at Eclypse. This post will be located in the Family Team.
The team provides interventions and support to children and families where there is parental substance misuse

Family Team Coordinator REF: EIOT/FTC

Salary SCP 33 - 36 (£26,835 - £28,919) Pay award pending

The post holder will be responsible for the co ordination of the Family Team within Eclypse, and the service development and delivery across the City of Manchester. This is a new service. This will involve taking responsibility for practice development, support and day-to-day management of the service, the coordination, management and supervision of the staff team, and the promotion of links and partnerships with other statutory and non-statutory organisations.
